Most clients who need barcode images will contact the Axicon Bureau Service for the help and advice they need to make sure they are ordering the correct symbol, at the right size, for their particular print job.
For those users who are more knowledgeable about barcode production parameters, Axicon has developed Barcodes Direct, an internet-based service where clients can create the barcode images they need, when and where they need them.
Using Barcodes Direct, a user can choose which barcode they require, adjust its size and bar width reduction as required, and receive each image as an electronic EPS file. The software is always up-to-date, and it will provide check digit calculation as well as providing the necessary quiet zones (light margins) required around each barcode.
The choice of symbols includes EAN-8, EAN-13, UPC-A, UPC-E, GS1 DataBar, GS1 DataMatrix, ITF-14, GS1-128, as well as the formats required for ISBN and ISSN numbering.
We at Axicon ensure that the software used to create these images is up-to-date and reflects any changes in international standards, so you can be confident that your images will be compliant.
